Happy Anniversary to my Sweetheart Ruthie!!!

Happy Anniversary to my Sweetheart Ruthie!!!

Nine things I love from our nine years of marriage.

1. The love that we share.

2. The adventures we've had (Boise, Virginia - Singing to the neighbors’ music at 2am).

3. The 3 beautiful children that we have. They are such a great blessing (and a handful).

4. The happy times that reinforces our love.

5. The difficult times that has grown our love.

6. The wonderful example you are to the kids and me.

7. The meals we've eaten together and the ones we've looked out the window at.

8. Your willingness to put up with all my weird tendencies, missed deadlines, and ideas of healthy foods (an apple with caramel dip counts as a serving of fruit).

9. The knowledge that we will be together forever!

I am so grateful that we have been able to spend the last nine years together and look forward to the many years ahead of us.

Love, Brendan

I TRIed, and Loved It!

I attempted my first Triathlon this year. It was the Woman of Steel Triathlon in American
Fork. I had no idea how much I would enjoy it. It was amazing! I wanted to do it again the day after since now I knew how it all worked. I was quite slow with transition (one 5 minutes..oops!). Next time, and there will be a next time, I will really push myself. Although, I feel as if I did pretty well for my first time out. This is my friend Tiffany who has done it a few times and answered every dumb question that I had:) Seriously, could I get the hair out of my face! For your sake and mine I will spare you any swimming shots:)

Coming around the bend at the finish line. It was one of those days that I felt like I could have ran forever.

I fell in love with spinning while I was training, though my back end doesn't exactly agree;) It was so fun to see my family every time we came back to transition. It really helps out to see the ones you love cheering you on. A year ago I was having a baby and I had a very hard recovery, physically and mentally. Signing up for this and training has helped me overcome all of this. I'm so grateful for a body that allows me to do the things I love. Thanks to my wonderful husband who supported me through all the craziness. I need to steal a picture from my parents of me and my family. They were at the end, along with my parents, to give me flowers and hugs:)
