Gross!

Jack came home from school and we had this conversation.

Jack: "Mom, there's this boy in my class that picks his nose and eats it!"
Me: "That is gross, but please don't make fun of him."
Jack: "I didn't, I just walked right over to him and said, "That's disgusting! You're not supposed to eat it. You just play with it for a while then put it in a tissue."

This would explain why we have had so many sickies this year.


Conversation between Jack and a friend he had over to play. Jack was waiting for him to come out of the bathroom.

Jack: "You forgot to wash your hands."
Friend: "Um......Actually.......I don't do that."
Jack: "Okay!"
They tried to run off to play, but I stopped them and made him wash his hands. I know, I'm a mean mommy!

I'm pretty sure that isn't a snack bowl......Yuck!

Look what I found Ben using as a snack bowl. I know, disgusting! I had to get some pictures before I totally flipped out. (If you were wondering that is the inside of his training potty.)

It even has the perfect handle for carrying your snack around.

He was keeping it behind him so Lily wouldn't sneak any. She didn't try very hard. I think she knew it was yucky!

And this is just because she is cute and sick. That is why she doesn't have a bow on. She is crawling EVERYWHERE!

Did I Just Say That?......

Being a mother of two very funny young boys I find myself saying things that I just didn't think should ever be said "Benners we do not put our fingers in Jack's pee stream!" "Seriously, don't throw your sister down the stairs!" "Who put the Lego man in the toilet?" "We do not pee in the tub and then drink it!" "Ben we do not use Daddy's razor to shave Lily's hair" "Just because you are naked does not make it okay to stick your bum in your brother's face!" There are so many. After I say them (maybe a little while after) I have to laugh that I even said that. Oh, I love them!

Jack's Bedtime Story

Jack (very annoyed) "Benners go to Bed!"
Ben "No"
Jack "Do you want a bedtime story?"
Ben "Uh huh, YAH!"
Jack "Once upon a time. The End!"
Ben "Na nights!"
Jack "Goodnight"
And with that they both went to bed. Gotta love it! :)

My Little Doll!

Isn't she cute! She is so fun and beautiful. She loves to watch her brothers play and wrestle and is trying really hard to join them. She smiles all the time. I'm having way too much fun dressing her. What a wonderful blessing she is. Ben loves to call her is "petty doll". Jack loves to call her Lillian Grace or Pretty girl. She is getting really LOUD! Ooooo! I could just eat her!

"BIG" Family Picture

We had our family pictures done on the 20th of December. All 45 of us in one shot! The photographer did such an amazing job. My parents gave us all sittings for our families and children for Christmas. All in a few hours this photographer took all 9 families and individual pictures, plus this big picture. She did a great job, and I love that it was taken in the "jungles" at my parents. I grew up in those trees. I'm grateful that we have this picture. In my parent's last Stake Conference my dad spoke on the importance of taking pictures of the ones you love. So that you have evidence of the wonderful lives we have and the love that we share. We were very grateful at the time of Grace's passing that we had so many great pictures of her. I have loved that advice and I hope my kids can handle saying "cheese" a lot. I will post our family picture as soon as we get them back. What an amazing sight! What a blessing an Eternal Family is!

Jack's Riddle

Since I haven't updated in a while I thought I would share Jack's latest riddle.

Jack "Hey Mom, do you want to hear my riddle?"

Me "Sure, I'd love to."

Jack "What kind of crack does everyone have?"

Me "What?" Knowing full well what he was about to say.

Jack "A bum crack."

Me "Oh, really."

Jack "I'm serious, everyone has one." He was trying so hard not to laugh but sound intelligent.
