I TRIed, and Loved It!

I attempted my first Triathlon this year. It was the Woman of Steel Triathlon in American
Fork. I had no idea how much I would enjoy it. It was amazing! I wanted to do it again the day after since now I knew how it all worked. I was quite slow with transition (one 5 minutes..oops!). Next time, and there will be a next time, I will really push myself. Although, I feel as if I did pretty well for my first time out. This is my friend Tiffany who has done it a few times and answered every dumb question that I had:) Seriously, could I get the hair out of my face! For your sake and mine I will spare you any swimming shots:)

Coming around the bend at the finish line. It was one of those days that I felt like I could have ran forever.

I fell in love with spinning while I was training, though my back end doesn't exactly agree;) It was so fun to see my family every time we came back to transition. It really helps out to see the ones you love cheering you on. A year ago I was having a baby and I had a very hard recovery, physically and mentally. Signing up for this and training has helped me overcome all of this. I'm so grateful for a body that allows me to do the things I love. Thanks to my wonderful husband who supported me through all the craziness. I need to steal a picture from my parents of me and my family. They were at the end, along with my parents, to give me flowers and hugs:)
