Bear Lake 3

Our cute little family at the lake. Jack 9.5 months, Jack 4 (almost 5) years.
Here is the Done family. Grandpa Done, Grandma Done, Dallen, Jack, Ben, Brendan, Me, Scott, Hillary, Peyton, Jed, Heidi and Madison.
The three most beautiful people I know. Have I mentioned, I love my boys?!!!
At the end of each day I always had to spend extra time with Jack. Not for him, for me. He is getting to the age where he can entertain himself. I really missed him by the night. He had so much fun, and it was exciting to see how much he has grown in a year.
When we finally got Ben in we couldn't get him out. He was the one baby who loved the water, naked or not! He thought he was soo big and would just play in the waves. There were some cousins there who couldn't get enough of him. They would always come over and ask to hold him and when we finally got him out in the water they all ran over with their cameras. I know he is irresistible, but when somebody else does it just makes your day!

Every year the Anderson family goes to Bear Lake for a week. We usually go up for only two days, but decided this year to go up for the whole week. We had a lot of fun. We would camp up in the mountains and drive down to the beach everyday. It was freezing at night! Jack did great sleeping, but Ben had some problems. One night he was so fussy all night and when I finally changed his diaper in the morning he had a little wood chip in there. I felt so bad. It was hard to keep water for a bottle warm in the middle of the night in a tent. Thank goodness for Gma and Gpa's trailor! We took Jack up to Minetonka cave, and he was really into it. He was a little worried about the bats, but soon got over it. Thanks to the Dones for the great week everything you did for us up there!

Bear Lake 2

Grandpa Done and Ben at the beach. Both as happy as can be!
Jack's favorite was when the water would come on the beach and make a mud pool to play in. He was filthy, but had a blast!
Great picture Brendan took of Jack jumping over the mud pool.
Me and Ben going for a walk at the camp sight. He is such a happy little (okay, big) boy!
Ben and Madison took a bath together in Grandma and Grandpa Done's trailor. Madison didn't like it too much, but Ben always enjoys being naked!

Bear Lake

Alex is Brendan's youngest cousin. Alex and Jack are a few years apart and played great together. They were always together. Jack always begged me to walk down to Alex's camp to see if he could play. Their favorite game was to ride on this bike all over camp. Thanks Alex!
The water looks so pretty from far, but up close it is nasty. When we drove up the canyon and came in view of the water Jack said, "It's beautiful, they cleaned it out!" Ben loved the water, but I didn't let him get in until the last day. He had to deal with shoulder rides until then.
Brendan and Ben. They look so much alike. I love it!
We had a lot of fun together, and made me realize that Brendan and I really need a vacation just for the two of us!
Ben in Dallen's cowboy hat. His outfit went way too perfect to not put it on. My boys love Uncle Dallen.

And finally, the fireworks.

Holy flip! Isn't this picture cute! I just took Ben to his 9 month ad he is only 25% for weight. What? The Dr. said he is all fluff. He really didn't mind the fireworks, which was great because Jack has always hated them.
Too cute not to put two on here. Ben at the fireworks.
My boys. the best of pals. Ben loved to sit on my mom's lap and watch the fireworks.
Jack has always hated fireworks because of the noise. This year we solved this problem. Doesn't he look awesome in his rifle ear protection. These made fireworks a much more enjoyable experience for everyone.
Brendan and I at the fireworks. The 4th of July is on of my favorite days of the year. Two years ago we spent the day in Washington DC. It was amazing, but how I longed for my hometown celebration of our country. I am so grateful for all the brave men and women who fight so valiantly for this country. Thank You!

And some more 4th

Wiggle car race. Scotty (Staci's brother), Dan and Russ. Check out their faces. I love it!
Cherry pit spitting contest. I was hillarious to watch. Russ won, but Gary came in a close 2nd.
I don't even remember how well my mom did, but we sure had fun watching her!
Dan. Doesn't He look like a raptor trying to throw up. Gross, I know, but doesn't he?
Matt had the greatest overall presentation. Too bad it didn't take the pit very far.

More 4th

We put the slip'n'slide down the back hill. It was really fun, but turned into a mud bath by the end. Jack and the other kids were filthy. I wonder if that mud tasted good?
All the kids (and adults) have a great time on the blow-up slide. Thanks Mom and Dad!
I was standing at the end of the slide with my camera and a white shirt on. I go plastered with mud!
Some of the kiddos excited to swim. Dan, Mia, Livie, Lucy, Jeff, Jack, Noah, Cooper and Carter.

4th of July

Wiggle car races down the driveway. Me, Laura and Staci. I whooped em!
Dan and Staci totally surprised us and showed up. I was so excited! We have really missed them. I ran the 5k with Staci and it was a blast. We also had a day at Cherry Hill. We had a lot of fun, which made it really hard to say goodbye!
Hillary, Scott and my cute little nephew, Peyton at the parade
Jack loved the parade, but hated the noise. He did much better this year.
Nothing like getting out all your boyhood aggression on your cousin! Jack and Will.

It's not for...Fats!

Jack loves to jump on my Bosu ball (an exercise ball that is cut in half with a plastic bottom). A few weeks ago my in-laws were here and Jack was jumping on the bosu. My Mother-in-law asked if she could have a turn. His reply....."It's not for (a pause for thinking) Fats!" I wanted to die! Thank goodness I have an awesome mother-in-law who found it so funny that she tells everyone. Oh, the things he says! (The picture above is how funny my child finds bodily functions.)
